The Death March of 1945

Max Mannheimer, Chairman of the Dachau Camp Community in 1995, tries on an old uniform and stirs strong memories. This picture was taken at the home of Uri Channoch while on a trip to Israel. Mr. Mannheimer was a featured speaker at the April 30th 1995 memorial service at Dachau, marking the 50th anniversary of the camp's liberation. The event was organized by the government of Bavaria and the Dachau International Committee.
