Rica Haeussermann lights a memorial candle brought from Israel at the Death March statue in Bad Toelz. Rica was born in Einbeck, Germany, where her grandfather was once mayor. He was forced to leave office when he refused to support Adolf Hitler. Rica now lives in Greenbrae, Califoria, north of San Francisco.
