Visas for Life: The Remarkable Story of Chiune and Yukiko Sugihara

In the fall of 1939, Chuine Sugihara was sent to Kaunas (Kovno) Lithuania, to set up a one-person consular office. Sugihara was essentually an information-gatherer for his government. Kaunas was a good place at the time to keep track of Russian and German troop movements.
